Whilst the birth of a new baby is celebrated as a moment of great joy and love, many may find themselves overwhelmed, whether by the pain of miscarriage or stillbirth, or from a traumatic birth.
Feelings of fear, anger and grief can make caring for a newborn challenging. When the focus is all about the new baby it can be hard to share with others how much distress you are in.
EMDR can quickly enable you to access states of calm and confidence. When you feel more relaxed you'll be more able to tune into your baby, enhancing your connection and ability to enjoy the wonder and joy - along with the inevitable exhaustion- of new parenthood.
